Its predecessor, the Bug-A-Salt salt shooter offers a fun and fairly effective way to repel pesky flies. Flies and other bugs keep creating problems and annoyances which is why the creators of the Bug-A-Salt didn’t sit still.
The new and improved Bug-A-Salt 2.0. has just been released on crowd funding site Indiegogo. The marketing phrase ‘new and improved’ isn’t just a hollow phrase here. It actualy walks the take since the second edition salt shooter is better in various ways.
- It has more power,
- uses less salt per shot allowing you to conserve ammo and last longer,
- its quick action safety ensures increased rate of fire,
- it now comes in a stealthy Camofly color (not sure if this is to delude the flies or to please it proud owner but it sure looks cool)
Just like the previous model, the Bug-A-Salt kills off flies without splashing them or making a mash, uhh, mess. (flies stay whole)
This means less cleaning up for you and more time to have some fun. Release the inner-man-child in yourself and let those little bastards come!

Does it really work?
Yes it does. You simply pump the charger and set the spring which fires a short but powerful stream of kitchen salt that knocks flies and other bugs out of the air ( or kills ’em dead on the wall, on lamps, on the couch, on pretty much anyting).
This gun, or “insect eradication device” as it’s called, is very-well reviewed on Amazon and other online retailers and really packs a punch.
To see how it works, watch the Bug A Salt 2.0 commercial. See the gun in action and the flies tumbling.
How much salt do I need?
Fully loaded, the gun yiels you approximately 50 shots, which is great because it saves you time and fun when re-loading.
